01 — The Story

A barber with history in his hands.

A genuine craftsman bringing old-world standards to the streets of Sunbury — and treating every client like the regular who's been coming in for years.

Fabio Dos Santos has been cutting hair for more than two and a half decades. Husband, father, and a barber who treats the chair like an art form — he opened Fasto Barbering in Sunbury to bring something the suburb had been missing: a barbershop where the craft is taken seriously and the welcome is genuine.

The room is built around the experience. Walk in, take a seat, accept a complimentary beverage while you wait, and settle in for a haircut that’s been considered, not rushed. Fabio blends classic technique — clipper-over-comb, scissor work, hot-towel finishes — with contemporary fades and styling that hold up the second you walk out the door.

Beyond the shop floor, Fabio represents Andis Clippers as their Australian Ambassador and teaches the next generation as an educator at Soho Academy. The skill he brings to the chair is the same skill he’s shaping the trade with.

Twenty-six years on the tools. Started young, stayed sharp, kept refining. Fabio works the full traditional repertoire — clipper-over-comb, scissor-over-comb, straight-razor finishes — and applies the same standards to contemporary work: skin fades, burst fades, low tapers, beard sculpting.

Outside the chair, he carries the trade forward. As an Andis Australian Educator, he runs technique seminars across the country. His training pedigree includes the Soho Vidal Sassoon system — a benchmark in cutting precision that very few Australian barbers hold.

The shop runs on his terms: take your time, do the work properly, and treat every client like the regular who's been coming in for years.
